Tip: I suggest you begin by setting up a simple profile on Monster.com. It will save you a lot of time further down the line. When your profile is complete, Monster will display jobs that relate to your experience.Steps for searching the Monster.com database.
- Underneath the search toolbar, click on Advanced Search to the far right of the screen.
- Enter one of your best search terms in the keyword field (the third field located from the top). In my example I will use “home agent” (without the quotes). For the second keyword use remote and for the third use virtual.
- Leave the title, location, and company field blank.
- Set the Job Posting Date field to the last 14 days (This will eliminate companies that are advertising repeatedly on the site.)
- Leave the rest blank and make sure that the include non-tradtional jobs in my results box is unchecked.
- Click the search box.
Now Monster will do all the work for you. There will be a variety of home-based position delivered but they will be blended with the rest – however because of the keywords that we used, it will be easier for you to distinguish between the two.
