Who is Shannon?
Shannon is a wife, a graduate of the University of Phoenix with a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology and a stay at home mother of three under five. She began working from home in the IT Field in 2005 when her pregnancy prevented her from leaving home. Being the hard-worker she is, she did not allow this to hinder her own dreams, but it inspired her to take on a new journey – one that would change her life forever. She faced several job dilemmas and most virtual job opportunities presented to her were misleading and delivered false hope and unreachable climaxes – leaving her feeling hopeless.
It was not until June of 2005 that she was able to regain some of the hope she had lost during her diligent online job seeking beginning in 2004. By using the writing skills she had learned in college, she was able to get her first job as an essay writer. The job paid her well offering her $5 to $30 per page depending on the type of paper she had to write for the client and they paid her on a bi-weekly payroll. This was a brand new journey for Shannon and now she was earning enough money to pay small monthly bills and to assist her shopping hobbies.
Work History and How Shannon Finds Jobs Online
As a stay-at-home mother, student and entrepreneur, Shannon has experienced first hand the opportunity to work from home and raise her children. Since her first job at Essaywriters.net, she has held several positions from home by utilizing a directory called Home Job Stop.
Her work history varies from customer service, sales, and data entry to tech support. She has worked for companies, such as Examiner, Demand Studios, and earned additional side cash from a company called ChaCha.
Her Web Design Company
Shannon is also the owner of a web design company that builds affordable websites for small business owners. Her company allows entry-level college graduates the opportunity to build their portfolio while giving them the advance opportunity to grow into management shoes.
Shannon started The Work From Home Lounge to help assist her friends and family with finding home based careers…but with such demand, she soon found that many people were looking for the right opportunity to stay home…but were afraid of being scammed. This is what inspired Shannon to make her blog public…and since then thousands of visitors have found what they needed to move forward in virtual careers.
